Frequently Asked Questions
Fairly strict on my end so that I can provide you with amazing results in a timely manner. For precautionary measures, 85% of the payment must be made 1 month before the day of the shoot, with the final amount being paid after I showcase a select few watermarked shots. This guarantees you that I have delivered the expected results and guarantees myself the final payment upon proof of work expectations met.
Everyone’s timeline is different, and ultimately, I do my best to get wedding photography back within three weeks of the shoot date. I write a strict contract that’s accessible through Adobe and send it through your email for safekeeping. I take my work and my work ethic seriously and only aim to put smiles on my client’s faces with timely and high-quality results.
The amount of hours needed for wedding photography varies greatly depending on the type of wedding you’re having and your budget. Elopements are still technically weddings as they involve the ceremony and small celebrations. An elopement may only need 2 hours of coverage.
Are 6 hours of wedding photography enough?
6 hours is a great amount of time for wedding photography. Most wedding ceremonies start at 4, so 3:30-9:30 is a great period of time to capture just about everything involving the wedding. However, some brides opt to have wedding photographers come 1 to 2 hours early to capture the venue, the process of getting ready, and overall tell a story of your most special day. By giving your wedding photographer those 2 extra hours, you’re ensuring they really grab the essence of your day, your wedding location, and every little detail that you know you’d love to see in the finished digital photo album.
The price varies, and it’s not uncommon to see prices exceeding $4,500 for a full-day shoot. Packages can get confusing, so I make my pricing clear and simple to follow.
- $450 an hour for the first 4 hours
- $250 an hour for the following 4 hours
- Travel fees are the base value of gas and mileage – I don’t charge $450 for me to drive to your location – it’s insane that some people do that
- I offer destination photography if you’d like to work with someone in your area or from your country if you’re traveling overseas
- If this is the case, you must cover the cost of my hotel (it must be a safe hotel in a safe area)
- You must cover the cost of my flight with a reputable airline (Spirit and Frontier are not reputable)
- Pricing is slightly higher for destination photography
What comes with my services:
- Photography by an FAA Licensed Part 107 Pilot
- Depending on hours on site, anywhere between 200 to 600 High-Quality Images of Your Special Day via Google Drive or USB
- Print-Quality Images for Online Canvas Orders
I’ve seen other people offer second photographers in wedding photography packages – and to be completely honest, that’s often unnecessary. If you want a secondary photographer, I’m happy to help you vet them. In my experience, I’ve found they offer very little added value and extra added expense on already stressed brides. I want to help you make your day easy and as stress-free as possible – usually, the more people, the more discord.

Favorite Wedding Photography Poses
When it comes to wedding photography in Colorado Springs, capturing beautiful, romantic moments is essential. However, it’s also important to have fun and creative poses that will make your album stand out and show your personality as a couple. Here are some tips for creating fun and memorable poses:
- Choose a Location: Choose a location that has special meaning to you both. This could be the place where you got engaged, a favorite park or even your backyard. Once you have a location, think about the different backdrops and settings that could make for great photos.
- Incorporate Props: Incorporating props into your photos is a fun way to add personality and creativity to your photos. Think about props that are meaningful to you as a couple. For example, if you’re both sports fans, consider incorporating your favorite team’s jersey or a basketball into your photos.
- Think About Your Hobbies: Think about your hobbies and interests and try to incorporate them into your photos. For example, if you both love hiking, consider taking photos on a hiking trail or with hiking gear.
- Get Close: Close-up shots can be incredibly intimate and romantic. Try leaning in for a kiss or a sweet whisper in each other’s ear.
- Playful Poses: Playful poses can be a lot of fun and help break the ice if you’re feeling nervous in front of the camera. Consider jumping in the air or striking a silly pose.
- Use Natural Poses: Sometimes the best poses are the most natural. Try walking hand-in-hand or snuggling up together. These poses will look effortless and romantic.
- Use Different Angles: Varying your angles can create a dynamic and interesting album. Try taking photos from above or below or experiment with different camera angles.
Remember that your wedding day is about celebrating your love and your unique relationship. Don’t be afraid to get creative and have fun with your Colorado Springs wedding photos. With the right poses and a little creativity, your wedding album will be a beautiful and unforgettable reflection of your special day.
